This very much a WIP and will most likely need some fine-tuning to make it the BEST FREE moonkin profile out there. The thing is I don't have a moonkin to test this on so im relying 100% on you the users to provide feedback and suggestions!

This feels REALLY streamlined. Loving it so far. Could this be adopted for PvP as well? I'm not entirely familiar with the defensive CDs on Boomkins (I assumed they're like the Frost DKs, mostly burst but kind of squishy if focused), but this seems to have most things in place. I guess I'm wondering if it might only need some tweaks to make it PvP viable, or if it's already perfectly suited for BG usage.

Here's a list of things I'm guessing I'd need to incorporate. I've only used the Feral PvP profiles so please let me know if the following are necessary/unnecessary for Boomkins:

1. Code to switch to Bear + Frenzied Regen to a certain HP percentage, then switch back to Moonkin form if HP reaches a safe threshold
2. Anti-root code (stance switching to Cat, then Boomy again to free)

You don't have to waste 2 GCD's by going into cat and back to moonkin. Just re-cast Moonkin.

as for the switching to Bear + Frenzied Regen to a certain HP percentage I can add this if its something needed for PVP but I dont know as I have never played a boomkin before and am going off advice of a guild mate and idontbot when it comes to perfecting the profile.

keep the suggestions and criticism coming the more you give the better the profile will be!

You don't the newest version then. Re download it, relaunch WoW, and it'll work. Gave me the same message until I did that.

If you want to add pvp capability, you can do pvp boomkin spread. In short make it target everyone and dot them (order of sunfire/moonfire depends on what state you are in for optimization), and make it use starfall continuously using cds etc to reset cooldown and continue starfall, and whenever shooting stars procs you could make it hit your focus target for example. Thats the basis for boomkin pvp at least, get mass aoe dmg going.
Edit: Adding natures vigil in the burst option could be nice to if its not already.

Taran32 is right then you dont have the newest PQI installed, Alpha Moonkin requires version 2.22 or greater to work.
you can get the newest version from PQInterface - PQRotation Wiki at the bottom of the page. =D
also make sure that there is the right version of Data file in the data folder for PQI, currently I dont know of a way to check against it without changing it.

on a side note I would also suggest updating to Alpha Moonkin version 2.1.2 if you have not, it has under gone a name change so I would suggest deleting the old one after updating.

sounds interesting, will see what I can come up with over the weekend. anyone have a idea on how to make it target cycle through in range targets for applying the DoTs? or should I just stick to mouseover, focus, and target? and maybe arena1-5?

"using cds etc to reset cooldown" what CD's, unforchantly I dont know much about moonkin's am going off of guild/user feedback (this all started to help out a friend in our progression raid)

If you are up for making a pvp profile I can aid in rotation etc but I wont be very active in the upcoming week.
