Question about botting

So what happens if blizzard finds out im botting,do i get permaban?

It depends on how many previous offenses you have.
If you have a clean slate, you'll most likely get a 24-48 hour ban. If you have a couple of previous offenses, you'll most likely get a 72 hour ban. If you have a lot of previous offenses, you'll get a perma-ban.

I've never been perma banned for botting only 24-72 hours, but after that 72 I stop.

is it good to use periodic relogging?
i mean wont blizzard get suspicious if you log out lets say.. every 30 minutes and log back in after 5 minutes?

It would be more suspicious to be mining/herbing for 10 hours straight with no breaks. For example, when I legit Herb/Mine, I always take breaks to make a sandwich, watch an episode of South Park, whatever. However, if you're logging off every 30 minutes exactly, and logging on 5 minutes later exactly every time, it gets suspicious. If there's a way to randomize the time for log out / log in, then do it.

EDIT: Just for info though, whenever I go to school or before I go to bed I'll run my bot overnight/day for about 8 hours straight with no re-logs, and it's been going strong for around 6 months.

most of the time a first offense will result in a 3day to a 1 week ban and repeat offenses result in perma leading into possible ip ban

there are no IP bans for botting..

Well they won't ban the IP per se, but if they suspect there are several instances of WoW running bots on the same IP, they may end up banning the whole bunch.

Then again, we know very little about their banning process per se, we only know what we can see.
