[Bot Algo] Random Walking through scenes? menu

    [Bot Algo] Random Walking through scenes?

    Can anyone help me with random walker for scenes? The walker should explore until it finds the portal to the next level, and right now what I have bugs out when the next scene does not load or the client receives a scene not connected to any other scenes (even though it flags the scene as scouted if the bot was entered the scene).

    tempDestPosition is the current destination the Char is heading towards.
    privatepaste.com :: Paste ID 249957acd5 This is the border detection code (its failing here, returning unwalkable coords due to the next scene not loading)

    privatepaste.com :: Paste ID 0c058188f9 This code is working correctly unless new scenes don't load (and it has to check for border).

    EDIT: Is there anything in the scene files that shows if the scenes have links to other scenes?

    Split up the area in segments to create nodes then use a TSP implementation to plan a route and visit them.
    Simple as that
    That's how we do it in Demonbuddy atleast.

    DemonBuddy doesn't use navigation meshes? Do you get the nodes from memory or you generate them your self?

    It reads all the grid squares from memory then it stiches together any new scene that gets loaded with the rest.

    The nodes is generated and used by the explore code.

    We also got full map static meshes for all non generated worlds
