    Possible "GM Scam" (Untested)

Right after you run an instance or something, if you KNOW something drops off a boss there,(do some research) and it didn't drop, pettion a GM saying it had dropped and you looted it/won roll, and never got the item, if the GM falls for it they should restore the item (That never existed) and you just scammed a GM you cheater!

For best results, id say dont take the "best" loot off the mob it drops from, then it seems more beleivable to the GM, and reset the instances before petitioning, just to be safe.

Also, take note this is more risky then most scams, seeing as you are scamming a GM, and if caught, they might... take action ...you dont like !!

You also only get 4 restores I heard, unless it's worth wasting one on.

No, if they think it got bugged, and its not of your doing, there is no reason for them to use a restore, and they would warn you if they were using "one of very limited restores" if you dont want to waste it, just say forget it. Still wold be nice to use to get maj0r ep1x

    ive tried this,

    it doesnot work.

what they do is check how many times a boss spawned that day, and check how many times it was killed, and check if the item dropped at all, then they referr you to a higher up gm, who says that there is no record of the item dropping, therefore, he cannot restore it.

I was more thinking low level instance, for like that shadowfang youve been farming for forever, or something like that. id say it wouldnt work as well for raid instances though.
