Which bot is right for me?

never used a bot and know little to nothing about any of them or how they work.

I have a second account I'm willing to try it on.

I do not pvp much, I hate questing and leveling, and gathering materials.

I would want a bot who can level and gather/mine or whatever efficiently and discretely.

With that being said...

What bot would your recommend and why?

Before you just post a link and leave please give me insight, and know I have recently read a lot of posts here and kind of have a general idea of the most popular ones.

If this thread stays popular I will make a beginners guide to choosing.

Shadowbot being your first bot I recommend this one, as its super easy to setup, gathers and grinds for you, as well as plays bg's and questing is on its way.

For a more advanced bot, with a much larger community and already actively developed plugs and such I would recommend honour buddy which does everything you can think of
Questing,bg,grinding,dungeons,gathering, lazy raiding , archeology , fishing, it is just slightly more complex to setup. It is currently down also updating for mop.

I am not entirely sure if Shadowbot is able to be operated via remote access, but I believe through external website use and with the proper plugins, you can do this for Honorbuddy. And personally, I would recommend Honorbuddy anyway. I do quite like Shadowbot, and it's very intuitive and well designed, but Honorbuddy has a very large database of user created plugins, profiles, and tweaks already.

I'm partially biased towards Honorbuddy as well, because I use the WoW+ hack, which has a plugin (thanks natfoth! ) that allows you to use many of Honorbuddy's botting functions, but with teleportation instead. Another benefit of Honorbuddy over Shadowbot is the cost. Honorbuddy has a $25 "pay-for-life" fee, whereas Shadowbot is subscription based. Just like xdicex said though, Honorbuddy is currently down for updating for Mists of Pandaria. However it should be up and running soon, I would imagine.
