Static pointers?

So anyone know if you can even use the Cheat engine pointer scanner to find static pointers in SWTOR?

I'm trying to find a static method to read the credits a character is carrying so I can add some credits/hr calculations, but for the life of me I can't find on that is consistent between machines. I've gone as far as 9 levels deep (didn't let it finish, but it had run for like an hour) and not a single one was valid after closing and reopening SWTOR.

Since I've using Macrogoblin as my bot engine I'm a little limited on what I can use to get the information unless I want to go the route of my own plugin.

This is unrelated to your specific question, but have you considered using the same method as many of the Autoit Diablo bots for formulating credits per hour/session/etc? They simply open inventory, scan the gold/credit number using OCR, check the system time, and calculate from there. At least it might save you some headaches.

Or perhaps this isn't possible with Macrogoblin. Hmm...

I guess its possible...I haven't tried it. I think it works well for Diablo though because the diablo font is pretty recognizable and readable. Not sure if there is a generic OCR system that could be used by Macrogoblin or not. As I recall someone developed one specifically for Diablo.
