Unfortunatly I cant test this any further because I have no friends to try this with (forever alone)

(Totems are a crafting material)

This is what happened:

I ordered 90 Totems on the Trader for around 1 silver each wich was a total of 90 silver

I managed to get 87 Totems in my pickup box at the Trader and couldnt get the last 3 Totems because toomany people ordered for a higher price.

I went to my "My Transactions" tab and canceled the remaining 3 Totems that I ordered.

I went back to the Pickup Tab to collect the 3 silver of the order that I canceled and to my surprise, there were 3 Totems to pickup aswell

I now had 90 Totems and an extra 3 silver

So iv been thinking about what could have happened here.
The only logical thing I came up with is that when someone sells an item to you instantly via the highest buyer, and you cancel your order at almost the same time you will get both the item + the gold you offered to order that said item.

I can 100% garantuee that I didnt have anything on the trader that was worth 3 silver +-
All my items I sell are between 2 and 6 gold

Now, id like to ask you guys to play around with this and figure it out for yourself.

i guess this only works when there is a low low supply of an certain item and the demand is very high and that when it can work?

I've been flipping 1000s of items on auction house for past few days, including highly demanded items and this NEVER happened to me.

maybe it was just a graphic bug
happened a few times in other games

Yes ? Wasnt that clear ? and if you were sarcastic, you could turn that 3 silver into 3 gold, 3 gold into 30 gold, etc etc.

You send an rare item to your friend that is worth lets say 20+ silver
Then you will put an order on the trader for that exact item for 5 silver and 33 copper (pick a random amount of silver and copper and tell it to your friend on skype/ventrilo w/e)

He will sell the rare item to you via the order tab in the trader for 5 silver and 33 copper since you are the only person that put an order for that item for that price

You will both time the cancel order and sell click at the same time and try to see if it works.

I thought it was a bug too when I saw it so I just picked it up and saw that 3 silver has been added + the 3 totems.

Tried with friend 7 times, even with lag switch. Didn't work.

I think what happened to you is that a seller put up the totems for 1c by mistake and you auto-bought it so the tradepost gave you your money back minus 3c which you payed for 3 totems.

Correct me if I'm wrong.. also if I am, more people should test this.

Maybe you sold something before, so you had 3 silver left in pickup tab?
