Just a Warning to Botters

Botting - We'll start substantial banning of bots on Wednesday, August 29. Since we're currently seeing widespread casual, unsophisticated botting, we will start with 72-hour bans for first offenses. In the coming days, as we address the casual botting problem, we plan to switch to our normal policy of permanently banning anyone who runs a bot.

Just a warning to all, and to let everyone know the first ban is only for 72 hours, and will be permanent later on.

So does anyone have any indication on whether botting for gold is profitable in gw2? Kind of like in d3? There's barely any information on the forums or around the internet.

I just got suspended for 72 hours. I set a script that would spam 1 at the portal event..got 7 levels out of it. oh well i wont bot again

Same i went from 19 to 46 and just got my 72 hour ban

I guess we cant take arenanet lightly. they're very active with bans...for now. They're serving bans on all sides of the game, guess that's good for the game but bad for us lol

Got my ban to, was running a img scanning bot, scanning for event bar at portal, wasnt spamming, weird, must have gotten reportet.

EDIT: Going to try to apeal to them with my "I zo zowwy!" method, lets see if they will unban :P

im 99% sure all the bans were due to reports, since they cant really dettect pixel scanning and scripting.

On top of that, i only went 18H/day
