You can create a character to save a name by just jumping to the last page and then delete the character and remake the character. This method "binds" the name to your account for 24 hours and allows you to grab the names you want for your character.

I assume that the devs wouldn't announce a feature on the officials if it was not enabled at launch, not at least without telling us it was not put into work. But who knows, you might be right.

the better question would be does someone have a good autoclicker to get into the servers as they first launch. Manually spamming every 2 seconds for 3 hours will get annoying.

You cant. Servers must go live and u must log with client to get a name. Trashy post cause you can make all toons you want at start, unless you want 329 names for 24 hours.

Not really a trash post since Names are GLOBALLY restricted. This means if anyone chooses "Fred", you cannot get the name "Fred" even on another server. This tip gives you a rapid way to get to the Name selection screen as soon as the servers come up for you to have a shot at reserving your name of choice. Great post.

Character names in the Guild Wars universe work differently than they do in most other MMOs. Whereas in most MMOs character names are unique only within their world/server, in Guild Wars and Guild Wars 2, character names are unique across the entire game. In Guild Wars 2, when a player acquires a name like Wizardex, he or she is acquiring it across all worlds. Clearly this places more importance on grabbing the name early. Yes but as of now, the naming will work kinda like WoWs battletag system. You choose a name before you even log into the game and if some1 else picks the same name you both get "Name#xxxx" The numbers won't be shown ingame except if both of you are in the same world/party or something, not really specified on the website

The naming doesn't work like that in-game, the 'Name.xxxx' is used for your display name which will only appear on forums.
