is there a way to get a targets XY position in lua?
like something similar to
posX, posY = GetPlayerMapPosition("unit");
is there a way to use it for say NPCs?
if not, is there a way around it that i can use in lua?

If your using PQRotation, yes. If your just wanting it for a macro, I have no earthly idea. I don't touch macro's, even with a 50yard stick.
For example, in PQRotation:
Where PQR_UnitInfo(unit) returns:Code:local x1 , y1 = select(1,PQR_UnitInfo("Target")), select(2,PQR_UnitInfo("Target"))
Code:1. X position 2. Y position 3. Z position 4. Distance 5. Faction ID 6. Suppose to be UnitGUID, but some part of the code is wrong and reporting all 0's (I believe, might be wrong)
