    Can D3 catch simple bots?

I'm interested in writing a simple bot to save me from having to do tedious things like salvaging items, picking up items, putting filters in ah and searching for items to check if they are worth selling in ah. I've never written a bot before, but I know how to program and it looks like I can write some stuff in Java to do some simple mouse clicks/retrieving item information.

My question is, will this be detectable by the warden?

Some actions I'd be doing are:

    Picking up item help:

    - auto pick up all magic, rare, and legendary items

    Salvage help:

    - salvage every item in my inventory

    AH help:
    - set filters in AH for common stats I find in my mf runs (i.e. primary stat/vit, mf, gf, etc.)
    - click the search button
    - sort in ascending order by gold
    - read how much the cheapest sells for
    - if greater than some amount, write name of item and cheapest price to an output file I can look at later to decide which items should be kept or salvaged

That's about all i'm looking to do. I'd like it if someone who has experience with writing bots could give me some info as to how much risk I'd have by using a bot that does this.

    Thanks

You mean Blizzard, not Diablo 3. And yes, Blizzard COULD track down and ban every single one of us, but for some reason, they rarely do. The way AutoIt moves it's mouse is incredibly un-human like which makes it easier for them to just look up what movements we've done in the last, hour or so and just /ban <name> cd-key
I help support ANY Diablo 3 Witch Doctor Bot. (Andy/Avatar/zEEneXx/etc.)|If you have any issues with it, PM me.
If you'd like to support me consider making a small donation.

Current version for Andy's bot can always be found: here

Yeah because they record your screen so they can watch where and how you move your mouse.

They have the potential to track you with that sort of resolution, but they definitely won't. They've got to manage what, something like 7 million+ users? The logistics are too intense. What they CAN do easily is track broad patterns. If your account spent X hours in the last 24 hours playing the same quest over and over, they know its un-human. If your account spent the last X hours searching for the same thing in the AH, they know its unhuman. Et cetera.
