Do you get banned on your main account if you bot on secondary account?

Hi there everyone!

Well the title says it all.

If I buy a new battlenet account and bot on it. Can I get banned on my other account then?

Question 2: If no, will I be able to send money to my main account or will that risk be getting banned?

Please only answer if you know, not if you THINK you know.

You could, but (dont quote me on this), usually Bliz doesnt manually check botters. They could however check patterns, like if bot keeps giving main money or something.
Generally, without any interaction between the 2 accounts, it's "fairly" safe for the main, but then again, who knows what Bliz does?

A couple of my friends have asked the same Questions some times, and they have botted on mutiple account's (not their main account) but other accounts that the bought and havent got banned for it yet.. they did it in World of Warcraft and is doing it in Diablo 3 now.
But as Liis says you never know what blizzard will do, if they check that you are sending all the mony to the same account all the time and they spot it they will proberly start to asking questions to them self about what there is going on here.

They come up with some random names so that they can't track it back to their account

Ahh ok, well Blizzard can see that they are using same IP for their logins, but I guess it help atleast some =)

Ofc they can see that you use the same IP address if they check the IPlog

But if you want to be on the secure side, maybe use a VPN somewhere or use a proxy server than you want to bot, so that it cant be tracked back to your own IP address

I guess, maybe I should get more into Proxy or Visual machine (?) before I do this =)

It can be a good thing to do, i know alot of people are using Proxy and/or VPN for their botting so that they dont get IP banned and so on, im not really sure if my friends use a proxy but i think they do:P, i will ask them next time i see them, but somekind of IP blocking they might maybe use, cause they have done this for over a year :P

I used a proxy like a year ago for something non-wow related (didnt even know it was a proxy) and Blizz temp banned my account cuz they thought I was hacked. So I guess you gotta know what you are doing =)

Blizzard are having some kind of system there temp. bans your account if you connect from another IP, i dont know why they do it but its REALLY annoying, but if you only log into the account on 1 IP address you should'nt be banned for it

Yeah, gotta activate proxy everytime you login with subaccount I guess.

Here are some facts for you:
- Blizzard does NOT ban your accounts by IP, same goes for names/emails etc, THEY WONT BAN ANY OTHER ACCOUNTS
- If you bot on one acc and play 5 others, then that ONE account is receiving the ban, not ANY of the others
- Friend was hit by this "banwave" just now, lost 6 accounts, traded to his main from all those accounts and his main is still intact

There are some actual FACTS for this thread.
