Recovering a HC Character

I've only used this method once and it has worked. It probably only works once so yeah~
Essentially, you are trying to make it seem as if you got `hacked`.
Blizzard will then roll-back your account to a previous state (generally a day) so you get your HC character back.

1. Don't login for a couple of hours after your death
2. Download Hotspot Shield - here or any other proxy; this is a proxy which can be used to change your `location` to a different country in order to simulate the fact that it isn't `you`.
3. Once Hotspot Shield/your desired proxy is up and running, login and delete ALL your Diablo characters
4. Remove Hotspot Shield/your desired proxy
5. Wait a couple of hours and log back in to Diablo
6. Submit a support ticket on the Blizzard website claiming you were `hacked` and that you wish for a roll-back

I take no responsibility for any loss in characters/items, etc.
Use this at your own risk.

Note: For D3 rollbacks, 2+ rollbacks will result in disabling of the use of RMAH.

Finally, on a side note, if you are using the RMAH and you have gotten paid, you can actually get the item you sold back AND keep the money. (Just something I found when using this method).

this is actually a ****ing awesome guide if you are a player like me that doenst give a shit on softcore hence not needing rmah acess at all

Very awesome guide if you care about your hardcore character more than the RMAH. I wish I had known about this when I lost my lvl 55 Hardcore Demon hunter a couple weeks ago. I definitely would have done it

Just to say I just did it after my lvl 60 WD died and it worked like a charm. took me 3H max to get my char back

Do anyone know how long reset they do? I don't wanna reset like a week xD Only from the time were "the hacker" logged in and died on my Barbarian xD Hahahaha, im actually going to try this, ticket is sent, all done, waiting for anwser, if they only reset a couple hours and my barb is back, i'l rep the hell out of the creator of this thread, thank's in forehand mate

EDIT: Guys if you do this you have a HIGH risk of getting banned, i got permenant banned via this method, i had over 1bill cash and all classes in 60 exept WitchDoctor, and my highiest Paragon level was on my Barbarian Softcore: Paragon: 26. Im actually not very mad, but sorry im not going to rep this, it probably works but i was seriesly unlucky. Goodbye Blizzard games, hate you!
