I was thinking about using a bot to farm gold, then using the gold to buy items from the auction house and sell them on the RMAH. Obviously it's a bad idea to link to my main account's PayPal, but what if I was to open a new bank account, link that to PayPal and then link that to my botting account. Of course it would have the same details attached to it as my main PayPal, like my name, address, D.O.B. etc. Would Blizz be likely to ban both of my accounts, because they have the same details? I only play legit on my main and really don't want it to get banned.

It is highly unlikely that it would happen that way. It is a risk you take though. I don't believe that Blizzard has rights to snoop into your Paypal for personal information to link the two accounts together.
