[Guide] Gearing your companion for max. GF.

This is a small guide for those who want to get the most out of gold find runs and want to dish out a little cash to gear up their follower accordingly.

    The follower:
The companion you want to use is ofcourse the templar. With 25% GF on shields and 10% GF on weapon this yields much better results than scoundrel and enchantress.
The templar has 5 equipment slots and 1 slot for a templar specific item. This templar specific item can NOT contain gold find, so don't waste your time looking for it.

    The items:

Finding these items is easy, just set the filter to gold find with the max percentage listed below. If you don't want to spend mayor cash use the noted percentage -1 or -2, this will net you a much lower price.
Max gold find % on items:
    Shield: 25%
    Ring: 20% (x2)
    Amulet: 40%
    Weapon 10%

Many people struggle with the weapon part, there is only one one-handed weapon that has gold find! how do you find it? Simple:
You need an item called "Wirt's original leg". When you google it, you see it is a legendary item. This is FALSE! Ingame Wirt's original leg is actually a blue (magic) class item.

What you need to set your filters at to find it:
    1h mace
    Level range 5 - 5
DO NOT SET THE FILTER TO MAGIC ITEMS, this will for some weird reason NOT work!

Now you have to manually scroll through a few pages, looking for a good deal. I got mine 10% GF - 10% MF for a lousy 120K.
This weapon has a DPS of 5 (It's level 5 after all) so your templar will not deal ANY damage, but that's not the point of gold running.

    The result:
When you have completely geared out your templar, he will have a grand total of 115% gold find, and a whopping 10DPS. You therefor have an extra 23% gold find!

    Enjoy!
If you like my guide, have a question or have some feedback i'd apreciate it if you left a comment or +rep.

    I think you meant GF

Protip - When searching for Wirt's, list by DPS.
    Time tells no lies.
