you're an idiot if you think the buddybuddybot is undetectable LMAO. no bot is undetectable.
Blizzard has two automated detection mechanisms. One is Warden which detects known public bots. The other one is server-side data-mining which determines whether a player is behaving like a bot by analyzing variables like hours played per day, number of quests done, party/guild interaction, etc etc.
Warden was very rigorous for a year or two after its original debut. But Blizz has been leaning towards the data-mining method for the recent years for WoW, probably because they feel that it's more efficient and easier to maintain.
But back to topic, if Blizzard decide to detect a public bot, they will detect it. There's no way to prevent it (as long as the bot is public). So whether or not they decide to, it all depends on how serious they are about their game. Eventually most of the public bots will get detected. How soon depends on how much stuff Blizz have on their plate right now.
