**This is a repost from my Virtual Steroids thread. Maybe some of you at ownedcore will find the information useful**
Introduction
This is a general overview of how to equip your bots and what stats to look out for. I've been using the Immortal Bot for 9 days
and I'd like to share my personal thought process when it comes to scouting the marketplace for gear upgrades. With the recent nerf to
Royal Crypts but the stabilization of the gold price, I think some of the newer users out there could find some of this information useful
How does Movement Speed factor in to gold per hour?
The faster your bot moves, the further it can progress in less time. Most players
will find that not reaching the movement speed cap of 25% will severely cripple their
gold yield. One of the first things you should do is hit 25% movement on your bot.
Other than boots, what other armor gives movement speed?
A few examples are legendary and set items such as Lacuni Prowlers (bracers), Hammer Jammers (pants), and Unity (ring).
How does Gold Find factor in to gold per hour?
At a ratio of 1:1, you should always try to maximize your gold find. New players should attempt to reach 240% gold find first then continue to upgrade daily towards 300%.
How does Attack Speed factor in to gold per hour?
Attack speed does two things for your bot. (1) It raises your dps allowing you to kill mobs faster, and (2) it reduces the animation between attacks so you can transition attacks between different monsters
and between objects and monsters more quickly. New players should attempt to break the 2.00 attack speed bar and later on progress to somewhere between 2.80 and 3.00 attack speed. After testing attack speed
on my own bots, going beyond 3.00 provides minimal increase in gold per hour.
How does Pickup Radius affect gold per hour?
For players running with pick-it gold: off depend on pickup radius to dictate what is collected and what is NOT collected.
Experience has shown me that you should always attempt to get some pickup radius on armor that offers this stat, whether it be a perfect 7 or even a 5.
A value of 30.00 is sufficient, but you will still miss some gold packs at the edge of your screen.
A value of 46.00 is considered perfect for places such as Core of Arreat and will collect ~99.9% of gold.
How does Damage affect gold per hour?
Take for example, Core of Arreat (Nightmare). Ideally you want to be able to 1-shot all white mobs and kill elite packs very quickly.
If your damage isn't at 15,000 or higher, consider purchasing a blue weapon with 900 dps. They sell for around 1 million
on the Auction House, and you'll make that money back in a few hours anyway. If you're still farming Royal Crypts or breaking pots
somewhere else, then damage has no value.
Armor
Head
- Gold Find (25% I'll put ideal values in parentheses)
- Pickup (7)
- Socket (1)
Your helm is one of the highest gold find items you will be wearing.
A perfect helm will consist of 25% base GF, 7 pickup radius and have an open socket.
You should not be scared to invest a few million into buying a
good helm that will boost your gold per hour.
Chest / Pants
- Gold Find (25%)
- Pickup (7)
For market reasons, the chest piece will be one of the more expensive pieces of armor.
If there aren't many options on the market, consider
sacrificing a perfect pickup radius for one with 20% or more GF. Pants are relatively
common and cheap to find with 24% GF and pickup radius of at least 5.
Gloves
- Gold Find (20%+)
- Pickup (7)
- Attack Speed (15%+)
You may have to sacrifice attack speed for pickup,
or pickup for attack speed depending on the availability
of gloves in the marketplace and your budget.
Always try to have a decent gold find number like 16 or higher.
Rarely will you find 18% IAS, 20% GF and 7 pickup for less than
5 million, so keep looking and don't get discouraged!
Shoulders / Bracers
- Gold Find (20%+)
- Pickup (7)
Shoulders are pretty simple. You should be able to
find something with 20% or more GF and 7 pickup for 1 million.
Bracers with GF and pickup are really scarce and really expensive.
You may have to tradeoff a decent value of your primary stat (str/dex/int)
for bracers with 20% or more GF and pickup radius.
Boots
- Gold Find (20%+)
- Pickup (7)
- Movement Speed (10%-12%)
You will need to invest serious time into choosing a pair of boots. For my monk,
reaching 25% movement speed requires me to find boots with exactly 10% movement if I factor in
Fleet Footed (10% passive) and Wind Through the Reeds (5% rune on Mantra of Evasion). Every class
has their own methods to reaching 25%, but you must make sure to pay attention to pickup radius and gold find also.
Offhand
Consult class-specific guides for input on offhand equipment.
Jewelry
Amulet
- Gold Find (40%)
- Attack Speed (14%+)
Just starting out, finding an amulet with 40% gold find will cost you around 1 million to 2 million at the Auction House.
Eventually you'll want to upgrade to something with around 15% attack speed also.
Rings
- Gold Find (20%)
- Attack Speed (14%)
If you're just starting out, pure gold find rings can be bought at 800k at the Auction House. But if you want
to invest in better rings that will cost around 3 million to 5 million, you should consider having both attack speed
and gold find on them. Attack speed is currently one of the best ways to increase overall dps, and you'll see some of
the largest jumps in gold per hour with a full attack speed set (gloves, rings, amulet, weapon, possibly legendary versions of other armor)
Follower - The Templar
Using the templar allows you to take advantage of five additional item slots to equip with gold find gear.
As an added boost to your already high gold find percentage, the follower contributes 20% of their total gold find percentage to your total.
A perfectly geared templar will have 115% gold find, adding 23% to your total.
I hope this has helped some of you gain more knowledge on gold find equipment. Please leave some feedback if you found this useful or not
