any id to Identify/track an item between game?

Is there a way to have a unique id of an item that stay the same between games?

Found a semi working way with the Seed attribute, but when an item has same stat aka vendor item they will have the same seed

I haven't done much with items yet. But I would think I'd find the position (x and y in inventory or stash) of the item to be sufficient for tracking purposes.

And I don't know if there can be a reliable GUID for items since there can be duplicate items (not too likely with equipments but with stackable items yes). So using the position is more reliable IMO.
