DH only (possibly ranged) Wimsyshire Pony Pathing exploit

Inside Wimsyshire there is a possibility of a specific geometric formation:



If you drag a boss pack of Ponies to this spot and stand as show in either spot below then you can shoot them (off screen avoids things like mortar) without them following you or taking any damage.

Out of the 3 times I've currently done this it has had this formation in twice. Not a foregone conclusion as to if this formation is present in most games however its a start.

Using this has allowed me to kill packs that would usually be impossible or very hard. Wont help with other packs but at least you can get dem Ponies! (I find them to be the harder of the 3 types of packs due to speed) From what I gather the AI considers the path around the formation a valid one however they cant fit due to thier hitbox being too large and the AI does not override this and make them walk round.

This is very specific so I'm sorry this wont be useful to everyone, I dont know of any melee farming Wimsyshire anyway

If i find a pack i can't kill i sacrifice myself once and run into an already explored offwing of the map and leave them there. Also, make sure you take Leah as mentioned in someone elses (Whimeyshire + Leah--) post (make sure you check it out and rep them as it's a good tip, helped me loads as packs frequently heal to full)

This still works great! Just to add, this formation doesn't happen on every map but you will always see the fish and cat for that to happen. Also as the poster said, it's only for ponies, the rest will run right through.

i can confirm every map has the choke point, and yes u can do every elites including the flowers and teddies... just set up nicely and lure the ponies there to choke it and lure the rest to the back. yes it is difficult but doable, easier with party. make sure you kill non-ponies first though,..

After grinding inferno wimsyshire I have came to the realization that this occurs on multiple maps, not on all of them and it isn't always from the same direction that you approach it by, the bugged spot also works from both directions.

OP shared for the rest of us to benefit. irdgaf if its in normal exploits or elite. life rolls that way, and 15 minutes of fame or not.. he actually came here and helped the site.

Everyone who has contributed on this forum to make this an even better exploit than I first realised please give yourself a pat on the back, didn't think of jamming other mobs behind the ponies, nor did I think of looking for a pattern around it as well. Rep for all who inputted.

Been doing this for a few days, can get quite tedious clearing the way there though.

Jamming mobs behind the ponies? Happened a few times, but they were normal mobs. Can't think of a way to kill the mobs behind the ponies before the ponies themselves while staying out of the range of the ponies o.O

@Soj; yeah you missed out on about 5 posts of people QQing about how the spot is now ruined for them and it will be fixed etc and QQ about it not being in a higher category from normal view. (of which you dont have access to)- the post was not directed at you but those who will come back expecting more to flame.
