Get an NPC to do your killing for you (Act 2)

Hey guys,

Found another farming method for anyone who may be having a tough time killing champion packs on their own in Act 2. It's pretty simple.

Go to the "Road to Alcarnus" quest in Act 2 and run around the Stinging Winds. If you're lucky, you will be able to find an NPC named Mehtan the Necromancer. After you finish his event you can kite ANY monster from the zone to the Necromancer. HE WILL KILL THEM FOR YOU!

This can be done on any difficulty level. The Necromancer can't be killed and he hits like a truck. Even if you do die, he will still kill everything you kited to him. Just rez after and loot after he takes care of everything.

No isn't always there. If you can't find him then you should remake the game until he shows up.

Does he spawn randomly on the map or is it in a general area?

He's always in the same place actually. Its like a hill with a road going in/out of it.

could someone post a SS of were he is? ive tried 7 times and have not found him once

I believe this works for any quest NPC. They won't die but take their time killing. I often have it fight if its going to finish something of, but most times simply run back and own it up. Thanks for sharing though

+1 . Just get there with quests in inferno, and this necro helped me to kill around 4 elites

Not positive, but I tried this about a day and a half ago or so and it did not work. It may have been the wrong NPC, but it was a near-dead necromancer named, "The Necromancer". After completing the event, he was no longer an active NPC.

That's because Blizzard fixed it on the 22/23rd. It's in the hotfix patchnotes.
