Im pissed! please help

So I Finished Act 1, went to act 2, did a quest, even reached some checkpoints. All the people left, so I leave the Goddamn game to find help for this quest. Then I end up in ****ing last quest in act 1! again!

I guess the game didn't save your progress at the time you left.
I would also like to add that if the people leave and your game is already open to the public the game should eventually find you more people to play with. The mob difficulty is toned down once a person(s) leave so you can go ahead and solo whilst you wait for more people.

Press change quest in the main menu and pick your latest one.
And QQ less lol
