Thank you for the nice visual guide. I got some questions.
Did you let diablo update on its own at first?
Was the mooege MPQ folder selected automatically for you after downloading and installing the Mooege repository via MadCow?

Edit: "Failed to generate world" once again.
Edit#2: It weirdly worked after downloading MPQ's Oo THANK YOU!

because they haven't started working on quests yet. Theres still a whole lot more that needs to be done. Including mobs, drop rate, proper character position save, etc.

No worries, Many people are disappointed with Blizzards requirement to have to be connected to their server in order to play just a single player game. There are many different reasons for this but some of the main ones are: Dislike for proprietary rights (which is why many people like open source software IE Firefox, Linux etc.), inability to always hold a connection to the internet IE traveling, military away from home, and then there are those that don't like to follow the security requirements which is the main reason why Blizzard imposed these rules. With the growing number of hackers and pirates in the electronic age companies are trying to find new and more secure ways to protect their name and get the money that is owed to them for the hard work they did to bring us a great product. Blizzards answer to that is a patch server. Me personally I want to get a private server set up so that when I go under way on a navy vessel that does not have constant contact to the cloud I can still enjoy the gameplay. The important thing is that if you set up a private server you already own a copy of the game and have registered with Blizzard. If you follow these simple rules you will not become labeled as a software pirate. I hope this answered your question. And if anybody has there own reasons that I missed then please feel free to respond.
