Well you are certainly allowed to ask for advice and or opinions. But I think you are in a bit of a bad situation here..
Generally those know enough to actually create the backend (the hack itself in this context) also know, or at least have a basic understanding of, how to do a web frontend for it if they want one. Which puts you in a bit of an unneeded position tbh. Unless what you're talking about is actually web design instead of web programming. Programmers usually make for really crappy UI designers
