Cross faction blue/black red/black crystals [WIP]

Hey guys with the help of the community here, we were able to put our heads together and consistently figure out how glide/teleport to other players. Now i have a new project for us.
It is somehow possible to get red/black and blue/black crystals cross faction.

Last person in this thread claims crystals from rakata weapons when removed arent BOP, this is false, they bind.
When an armor/mod/crystal is in a Bound weapon, the piece shows as Bind on equip in the weapon. However, when you extract it to your inventory it becomes bound. Some theories were that if you took a mod from a bound weapon and placed it into a not bound armor it would unbind the mod. This is not the case and it binds the unbound armor to you. If you could somehow take the mod directly from the bound weapon to the unbound armor/weapon though, you might be able to consistently unbind mods. Another possibility would be pulling it out of the bound weapon and trading it to a friend b4 it hits your inventory and becomes bound. or possibly selling to a vendor from inside the weapon? The problem with the vendor is that it as soon as you open the vendor screen it closes the workbench and inventory screens.

I have a feeling that when you were able to be transported to the Republic Fleet via KP, you could go to the opposite faction's BM vendor and buy the weapon.

In the thread you posted, someone mentioned being sold a Red-Black Crystal by a seller on their server, so there is a possibility that it is extractable without being bound. But than again that guy could be a liar.

Curious where that Sentinel screenshot is from, because the overlay shows my guildies in the teamspeak channel.

Edit: Figured it out and got an answer from him.

What this player did was got a saber drop from raids, and purchased the wrong one from the vendor. He ticketed it and the GM gave him the imperial side equivalent. I can only assume this shadow did something similar.

I did donate back when it was mmowned. Guess donation status didn't transfer.

There is another way to get it that doesn't rely on a GMs mistake.
