Best way to make a farming route?

I'm currently using gathermate2 and data with routes. But I would like to be able to optimize the route better by removing underground/water nodes from the route. This is hard to do when the map shows tons clustered into that same area of the node you want to remove is. I was wondering if there's a way to zoom into the map or if there's a better way of doing this entirely?
