Item value bug, dupe opportunity?

Hi peeps.

So I took advantage of the Karagaras palace chest exploit and have been sortng out all the loot from it... one of the things I noticed is that I removed all the 25 enhancements from The Fall of Atris lightsabers, then sold it for it's origional value regardless of what the vendor is displaying..

See the image attached.... I tried a few differnt things to work out if I could generate profits out of nothing but wasn't sure how it'd work. Any suggestions? Im not selling anything to vendors for a while :P

It seems there are alot of display issues with items, so be observant of things that dont add up!

Sold Item for 14430 credits

buy item back for 13375, then sell again at 14430... although it deducts 14430 and adds 14430 despite the server relaying incorrect info to my client (item value 13375?)

The mods don't come back when I buy back... but other suggestions would be useful

So basically you are selling it to the vendor for 14000, and buying it back from it for 13000. So you can just repeat that like crazy gaining 1k each time?
Or is it just a bug, and you are actually paying the 14430 for it, bringing me back to this being useless?

He can only do it once per item, essentially he nets 1k profit but he cannot repeat due to the enhancments he originally took out in order to create the "bug".

Display bugs are common when removing/adding modifications from/to items. Equip it and de-equip it and it should display the proper price, etc.

Unfortunately I do not think anything "exploitatious" can be done with this.

This. Removing purple enhancements costs and arm and a leg. Literally. I'm fairly sure that if I sold the creds it costs for real money, I'd be able to buy an actual leg.
