Republic Accessories as Empire!

Here is a glitch of epic proportions, how to get a few Republic items as Empire!
Now this only works with very few items unfortunately and few classes will find this useful but it is still Republic items as the Empire, unleash your inner defector...Or get your trophies here.

Go to Benna Lodd on the Imperial fleet, she is a Heavy armor pvp vendor.
Bioware accidentally gave her Republic earpieces and implants.

I have confirmed that the Republic have no Imperial items, and I was unable to find more republic items..The same vendor also possesses the Imperial edition of said accessories.

Nope same exact stats it's just the name that is different if anything.

Nope they are the same (I think) but they are items only the Republic was supposed to have.

If its unintended then it is an exploit, you are exploiting a mistake of the developers, I can assure you they do not want you to have Republic items as Empire.

It is like having Alliance items as Horde in WoW.

Unless the items immediately become bound when you buy them you should be able to sell them on the Neutral GM on Nar Shadaa.

I'm guessing you could get a lot of potentially republic only items there. Nice bug though...

All PvP items, including those are bind on pickup.
The only Republic item which was not was the targetting device.

isn't part of the definition of "exploit" wrt to online games that you gain an advantage through it? what advantage do you gain through this? maybe i'm misreading, but it just sounds like you get the same items with different names.

First of all, it is not guaranteed that this is unintended. It may simply be placeholders.

Secondly, in order for something to be an exploit, it must be exploitable.

This really isn't. There's quite literally no benefit to this.

It's like the fact that there's some Eseless Drops in Black Talon. Is that an exploit too? Of course not.

An advantage is a tangible thing. It is not subjective. It is not a matter of opinion.

And last time I checked (which was before 1.1, but it hasn't been noted as fixed in any patch notes afaik), the bonus boss on the Black Talon still dropped things like the Esseles Vanguard's Shield Generator.
