Server hosting

Me and a bunch of friends have bought a minecraft server. As I saw, old MMOwned server (which apparently was 'cracked') was hosted on servercraft.co. So we bought the server there, however we can't get access to server.properties and therefore we're unable to set online-mode to false. Only thing we got to manage the server there is McMyAdmin. My question is, how was it achieved on MMOwned one?
