Question about makeing a server

Hallo there, i have a question about makeing a private server.

Shoulden it be possible to do it with wow, and reconfigure it a bit so it fits the game, or do you have to start from scratch?

I'm pretty sure you'll have to wait for emulators to be coded from scratch.

Might take some time, but Star Wars: Galaxies has ways of getting on private servers, you just have to purchase/download the discs. They are pretty fun and aren't as broken as a lot of WoW servers seem to be. I'm sure we'll see this section fill up once SWTOR is released. I'm definitely going to be trading for a key :P

No, it is impossible. You can't use a wow server(heavy modified or not) to play diablo 3, sw:tor or god knows what mmo can arise. It is not a phone dock where you can squeeze your new phone in even if that dock is not made for it.

@Dr.Doom: I'm a bit confused how sw:galaxies private servers are relevant to this topic.

SWTOR uses the Hero Engine, where as WoW doesn't. So you would not be able to do the same thing.

Disgracefully it have to be made the coding from scratch but it will eventually happen that u will later see some way to emulate swtor.
