Is the beta testing period over?

Yea.. same here.. I created my account about 2 years ago and opted in with the hope that someday I'll get it. I am a huge Star Wars fan and played almost all games including Knights of the Old Republic 1 and 2 which were incredible!

Nope its not over. The beta server is offline right now because they are deploying a new build on the server. All current testers have to wait and eventually redownload and reinstall the entire 34gb client lol... Maybe they will send a new wave of invites after the new build? Who knows!

Are you kidding me, the client has 34gb? :O That means one thing, the content is huge I guess? The maps are larger than WoW's? (I guess there are lots of planets and places u can go)

Their client being big means nothing. They could just not have a very good compression system for their files, or they could (and most likely are) a whole lot more detailed than WoW's (due to wow's use of cartoon-ish graphics to remain timeless), or they could just have alot of random things about which include much more walking/go from here to there to see this jungle, or they could have more content than wow (which is the least likely of all of these situations).

Just to be clear, there have been no beta yet, beta is stress testing, what they have had is game testing and that is not over, there is some major patch there is being loaded right now so the servers are offline, and all the beta players in this batch will also get into the next after the patch has been deployed, from that we can guess that there will be a new batch of invites sent out soon.
They have more contet then wow, from what i could calculate, by the info given untill now, and they havent't even put in end-game content, there will be 2 more planets for that, and the (in)famous Legacy system
