Swtor is Not Available in Your Region

Bioware and EA have decided, that they don't want our money. They've decided, to only release the game to 2 continents - North America and Europe. Yes, no Australia, no Asia, no Africa, no south america. And also, no 20 countries of Europe. And they didn't warn us. They haven't even said an official word about it. There been over 8000 forums posts in 6 different threads (they got closed and restarted) on their own forums and not a single reply. Based on two unofficial twitter posts from Stephen Reids stating there won't be any ip blocking we all rushed out to order from Amazon. Only to have a 3rd twitter post saying, Actually there may be ip blocking. So now i ask you, please sign this petition and hope we get an answer. Strength in Numbers.

You can bypass that. Just ask a friend of yours to buy it from some of the available countries. I asked the support if there'll be any suspensions if I do that, and their answer was:

I can confirm that you can use a code on your account that is given to you by someone else.

problem is ip blocking. They haven't confirmed anything about it, and the best we have is stephen reid's tweets which is pretty much "maybe yes maybe no i don't have a clue."

A bioware employee has answerd a few questions about that, and the reason they are doing it is that, they can't release to the bedst game with lag and such thoses places and they won't release the game there before they know that they can give the bedst game. Here is the quote:

"We know that publishers have a variety of problems when trying to launch a game overseas that range from regional politics, ratings boards, server infrastructure, localization, distribution, and more. Why did you choose not to launch in certain regions?

The answer is "none of the above." We didn't make that decision because of ratings board issues, localization or whatever else. What it ultimately comes down to is simple, but it is kind of a difficult concept to grasp: it is about quality of service. We know the level of demand for Star Wars: The Old Republic is pretty much unprecedented in MMO history. We know realistically the number of players we can deal with on launch day and the launch period. We made the difficult decision to say the player experience is paramount. We don't want them to have a bad experience on launch day. And that led inevitably to certain decisions and one of them was reducing the number of territories we go into at launch."

May i ask where you got that from? And to the other guy, so far it sounds like it's going to be staggered but once again, 0 confirmation. And if it is staggered, how long? Weeks? Months? Years?
