Blood and Glory - PVP mode suggestion

Judging by your surveys, it's obvious that Bori, BK's and Guards will be removed from the game, which is great. But in order to get people to play on this new server, you need to give them incentives in PVP to grind a brand new toon to 80 and redo all of their AA's.

I have come up with a great concept for world PVP that would rewards players and keep them in combat world wide. Since we all know your not going to remove BK's but you will most likely reduce the invulns, I have come up wit a concept of WHY people should fight over BK's other than just having some BK invulns.

    Let's get started.

Each region has it's own set of Battlekeeps, Purple Lotus Swamp which is controlled by the Stygian Empire, Potain which is controlled by Aquilonians and Cimmerian End which is controlled by the Cimmerians. There are 3 BK's per zone, the guilds that own the 3 BK's are considered the dominate guilds that run the Empire within that region. Since the poll about BK invulns being reduced has been passed by the majority vote, I would say put the invulns to 5% for the battlekeep owners. Once a guild has obtained a BK, they now have access to the quests that are obtainable within their EMPIRE REGION. So if your say, Stygian, you can only obtain the quest within Stygian provinces, like Khemi, Kheshetta, Purple Lotus Swamp etc, these same rules apply to the owners of Cimmeria and Aquilonia.

These quests that are activated, allow you to do daily quests that are focused on world pvp, as an example, the Stygian guilds quest for the day is to head over to Cimmeria and kill anybody that is apart of the Cimmerian Empire and collect their body parts. The more you collect without dying, the more of a target you become within that region. If you say collect 5 body parts with out dying, you have to take them back to your quest giver, your reward is 5 tokens and 25 silver for your ENTIRE guild.

Now with how the body parts work while in PVP, it should go as followed. 5 body parts is a small but easy offer to hand in for the average player, when you have 1-5 body parts, you get an icon above your head that lights up as "Green" allowing people to know your holding many body parts. When you get 5-10 body parts without dying, you light up as "Yellow" this increases your wanted level even more, because now people really want you dead for your body parts, so they can take them from you for their end of the deal. The quest for the defenders of the zone could be "honor and respect our dead". If the person get from 10-15 they go "Orange" and 15-20 it's "Red Alert". Since the body parts are guild rewarded, this makes for an even more exciting PVP concept. Were all sick of Soldiers and Rangers right? well who is more better to hold the body parts than these classes? This is all the more reason to have your soldiers work harder and protect your group and your group must protect him.

The whole objective of this concept is to keep pvp flowing and reward the more skillful and better organized guild. Now as I was saying earlier, if the player holding the guilds bag of body parts dies, the body parts are picked up by whoever can grab them first, whether it's your guild or the other guilds within that region. The guilds doing the defender quest pick the bag up, they must hand it in and the person that grabs the bag must run back and hand it in before he dies, giving his entire guild tokens and money.

These tokens are to unlock better armor/weapon for PVP so your guild can buy them with GOLD as a whole. This way, the grind isn't so hard on your guild and money is the way of obtaining gear, and being a guild is like owning a castle protected by the king. The guild functions as a whole and is rewarded as a whole.

Now here is the best part, there should be a default agreement to particpate in this world pvp concept. For guilds that are smaller and cannot put out a 24/48 man siege, they pick an Empire and pay gold once a week to that empire which is distrubuted to the guilds that own the BK's. So say 3 guilds own the Cimmerian END BK's, the underclass guild would pay 3 gold a week that is distrubuted to 1g a week to each guild that owns those bk's. Once they have paid their debts to the guild owners, the smaller guilds get 3% buffs instead of 5% and they are activated to do the pvp quests within that region they choose to be protected by.

Now this doesn't rule out PVP versus one another guilds, these other guilds can fight each other, they just don't get body parts, but they get pvp xp like what we have now on current servers. Whatever Empire your fighting for, you should have an icon on top of your head that is grey and represents that empire. This exact same icon above your head, is the one that will light up when your collecting body parts.

The best part about this concept is, it changes up the terrain constantly, fights can occur anywhere at any time. It could be in Kheshetta, to CE, to PLS, to Potain, to even lowbie beginning zones.

Here is the problems that I forsee that Funcom might miss

-Higher level players killing lowbies, the fix to this is, if your 5 levels higher, then your opponent, you don't get a body part, the person is counted as zero xp and zero body parts. This opens up pvp for all levels of toons now, from tortage all the way to level 80 zones.

-People fighting by the quest giver, this is impossible, because every 4 hours the quest should reset to give a different objective. So if Stygia and Cimmeria are attacking Aquilonia, Aquilonia is now defending. Their advantage is to stop you from slaying their people and they want to honor their dead by taking back the body parts you need as proof for your quest as an attacker that you killed the people you said with your guild.

-farming body parts, this will become almost impossible, because there will be just like in bori a 15 minute cool down before you can hand in, which is why it's even better to collect 20 if possible and hand in 1 huge load, that way people stop trying to collect body parts and run away from pvp. This concept makes guilds want to fight, recruit and stay in teh fight as long as possible to make it worth both sides time.

-What if you can't kill or get body parts within the 4hr quest window? It's ok, you will still get a decent reward for trying, but if you hand in bag loads within the 4 hrs, you get rewarded huge, but as an entire guild, this way, your almost gaurenteed something and it makes for more of a guild/group effort, putting each class to use.

-people stealthing with body parts, not happening, just like in totem torrent, if you get a body part, you can't go in to stealth, mount or path out. This way we chase each other through zones.

If you have any other problems you forsee, let me know, I will add it to the list, let me know what you think so far.
