[Question] What Computer Language is This?

There's many different kind of programs that I would like to edit, I'm pretty decent at computers, but I'm not half as good as a lot of people on here are, and I was just wondering what language, or how to read these squiggly lines, and numbers jumbled together in some order, if you don't know what I mean, try opening WoW.exe with notepad. Can't seem to copy and paste most of the characters, if anyone knows how to make it easier to read, let me know and Rep will surely be given.

It's because it's been compiled into assembly (I think, I'm not a computer expert) but basically it's unreadable with any normal text viewer. It is possible to reverse engineer it into something more readable, but it will not be a perfect conversion.

I'll let someone else explain how as I have no idea.

Well first off notepad is not a good choice for poking around WoW.exe. Try using disassembler (like IDA) or other tools to start learning and messing around with WoW.exe, notepad will get you nowhere. I'm sure someone else here could give you more tips on how to use it and such.

Well, you probably should be starting at something a little less complicated than cracking wow.exe if you don't have any programming experience.

Look into things like LUA, C++, C#, Java, etc.

Wasn't really looking into editing wow.exe, I was just using those "scribbles" as an example. However there are some addons I would like to tweak with that use this mysterious code.
