How to make NPCs? (patch 1.2.1)

Since I got my server running and can log in to the game, the old thread I made is done, so.... Now is the part where I need to make the game start working.

Can anyone tell me how to script mobs / npc's, such as making a boss hostile and attack-on-sight? Also what makes then elite / non-elite?

Depends what core your using, ArcEmu, Trinity or Mangos?

Ah yes, I forgot. I'm running a WAD core right now.

A 'WAD' core? I've never heard of it. Perhaps your referring to a repack? Link to it.

WAD - WoW Server Emulation

The one I'm running is the first/top download, 1.2.1.
It's probably too old to be able to find any sort of info for scripting NPC's or changing where players start in the game.

Ah sorry I can't help in that case. I joined emulator in early TBC, so I don't have a clue about anything during vanilla. Editing the title of your thread so people will see that it's a 1.2.1 server.
