Just a little tip for the people who haven't thought about this:

Every Christmas you can open presents under the great Christmas trees in your factions Capital City. Now, most of these rewards are either crap or BoP, aside from the pets! Every level 20+ character can go and get the Gaily Wrapped Present.

It contains 1 of these pets:
Snowman
Green Helper
Jingling Bell
Red Helper

Just log on every character you got above level 20, open the present, send them to your bankalt or main for convience, and wait some months. They'll go easily for 300-600g! I've sold around 8 of them last year (around 4 months ago), and they've all sold for 450g, since thats what I put em on AH for.

(Inb4 flames: even though you gotta wait months, it just requires a few minutes of work)

Yea, been doing this since the presents were introduced. Handy little way to earn a little extra cash later in the year.

Yep, made ~10k last year with that. I remember a discussion we did here and if it worths to level a DK just for that.

well, im not sure its that worth, but if it is doable to hack your way out of the starter place i would do it

When these pets were selling for ~2k gold it was a nice 2k/h trick. Now doesn't really worth.

a possibility would be to buy them now where they sell for low, and w8 a couple of months and sell when prices gone high.

I guess this is useful if you're below lvl 85 because in a few hours you should easily be able to farm up 5k worth or herb/ore. Pretty common sense though.

These go for 100g each on my server.. So its not really that good.. But I guess on some servers they go for a fortune..

There were a lot of these on the auction house on my server just now for 40-50g each.

Indeed it's a nice way to get some extra gold, and also hunt down the AH for cheap prices during the event and re-post them later. Anyway, by now, most of the players acutally got all 4 of them and I'm not sure there are many guys buying them for their alts, but it does worth the try (to buy them cheap).

On my server I sold 30 Preserved holly 450-500g; for month or so it actually did sell (consant relists). If your server is RP then stuff like this is worth putting time into, as everyone wants to be santa mid summer
