    Re: wow computer?

i run WoW fine with a 2.2ghz proccesor and 1gb of ram with Xp SP2
Raiden 9600 video card and i get around 26 Fps when i first enter Org and it goes up to about 35 after a few mins and a good idle of 55 60

about a $400 comp with the .5gb boost and and the video card about $550

omgomgomg My old computer was an HP Media Center ed. Only 512 mb RAM w/ 128 mb ATI X300 SE video card, and it was oldish / full HD so WoW didn't play too well I'm talking, I could barely walk into Org without lagging so bad that I moved once every 10 + seconds, or I would timeout all together.

Man, I loved that computer. Until it got slow and such. I used to play WoW on it through Dial-up when WoW first came out

Now I got a new HP laptop 2gb RAM and an nvidia 8600 GS, and WoW plays very well

I would say get a computer with at least a gig of RAM and a dedicated video card and you should be fine.

i dont like big hard drives, i have a 7200RPM 80g sata2 for my Downloads and a 40g with same stats for my OS, i gotta 250gb sata1 i might through in for Misc stuff. (IE Music, videos and photos)

Fast Harddrive=the shit and if i get a nasty virus, its useally one hard drive and i can just format it if its bad enough.

    Re: wow computer?

i can help you there dude.
i just made a budget pc.

And a friend of mine went to China and bought all his computer parts for about $1000 without a pc case .
I made him buy a p900 antec andvance gaming case.
his specs were /are very good but the price is very high.

He bought a gaming pc. hard core gaming pc.

    C2D processor 2.13ghz.
A f@$@#$ kewl mother board. i have all the boxes of his pc at my home.
I think its a gigabyte. ( a very expensive one)
    2 gb memory.
    250 gb hd.
gts sli 320 mb nvidea videocard . teh pawn.
    a 600 watt power suplly .

    Thats one rich chinese kid.
I setted his pc at my home.
the only thing i want to add to my rig is his motherboard and his videocard.

But if you live in the US and you want to build a similar one.
It will cost you atleast 800 or 900 bucks .

Hong kong is too expensive. XD

But my pc is yet to be finished .

If you want a guide to set up your pc and stuf or links on how to install windows xp or anything i can help you out .

But on what budget do you want to set your pc ?
