MySQL, Mangos 1.12.1 Repack

He said it's really easy to configure?? Yeah, well i'm lost. I downloaded MySQL and installed it, I have NOT setup the service thing yet with the setup server wizard. I downloaded his repack and WoW patched up to 1.12.1. This is also my 1st time using mangos. I did what he said, copied ad.exe into the WoW directory and created a new folder in there called 'Maps'.

After ad.exe is done running he says to copy the 'Maps' folder into the Mangos directory, this one called 'Atarathi PRE TBC', but there is nothing in the maps folder after I run ad.exe....

When I click start mysql, it starts, same with start realm. But when I hit start mangosdb (database) It opens and closes immediately. When I go back and click the server app, it runs and gets an error.

It seems the server database isn;t setup properly, I have a feeling it has to do with ad.exe not adding anything to the Maps folder he tells me to create...

Please help as I want to play this 1.12.1 server badly!!

Ask the author of the repack on the website you got it from.

Either you aren't running MySQL properly, or there's an issue with the repack.

EDIT: GOT IT! I had to remove the service mysql was running, THEN extract the maps into the folder.
