archeology prog?

hello i am not sure if its possible but it seems like it


when you are doing archeology, theres a pre set area where the item is that you need to find. i dont know if its possible with all the radar programs if you can locate the item without wasting all the time looking randomly. it would be on your minimap with the program

I DL a German radar from another site, it worked in a sense. I.E. it showed mobs, players and objects like nodes and herbs, but it wasn't detailed to the same degree as the one on here so it didn't show Fragments.

It would be great to get something that showed where Fragments were or even recorded all the fragments that have been looted thus far.

I've been searching for this, tried a radar as well...tracked everything but the Fragments. I used a Track Hack from this site and it also didn't work :\.
Maybe the item spawns when you find it or something like that?

Any tips on what proggie was showed on that youtube video which is now offline ? Looks great as triangulation tool. I' m not interested with flying faster, there are many tools already for that purpose.

those triangles looked kinda like SAL if i remember correctly.

Well I tried SAL, but it' s using lines and that version with cones looked better to me.
I' ve tried SAL but found it a bit disorienting and ended up not using it.

Try the addon Archeology Helper, it does hudmap like overlays of the area, not just a line you need to triangulate like S.A.L.
I'm sure a bot could be made for this, I imagine it would go like this:

1) Bot flies to closest dig site.

2) /cast survey

3) Bot looks at objects and finds the survey tool object, sees what color it is and what it's rotation is, uses this information to determine where to try next.

4) Bot flies to next spot and /cast survey again, rinse and repeat until it finds the fragment, loot it and either survey again or fly to next closest dig site.

I've seen the objects for the survey tool so I know you can get the color and coords of the tool but I'm retarded and can't get it's rotation.

If there was anything in WoW that needs a bot, it's (after fishing) Archeology. Being at 525 arch for days and having nothing buy greys is pretty depressing.

This orc on my server would mount on his flying and land on a spot, do the opening animation and then fly off to another spot and do the same thing over and over without ever having to do the typical probing for spots.

So I'm pretty sure he was able to track the fragments, though I've not seen anything posted publicly to allow this, there are probably already private hacks out there. If anyone know of one to recommend I'd be interested in checking it out too, not above paying for cool tools.

When I dig I probably look likr this cause I use SAL and have gathermate which has recorded just about every node on my HUDmap.
