Aspiring model editor requires some professional help please!

I am trying to switch race models so that I do the following:

Night Elf --> Blood Elf

Gnome ---> Human

Troll ---> Felorc (if not possible then Normal Orc or undead)

Tauren ---> Nightelf

all both male and female

I have the BC alpha as well as all the programs (except for MPQ master) for editing the models. I am just not sure exactly what to do... and need some help getting me started. Whether it be a link to a guide or if someone wants to go on Vent with me or send me a PM or post here. I would be eternally grateful for ANY sort of help.

PS: I did a great deal of model editing/swaping for other MMOs such as COH so I am not totally new to this, I am just not familiar with the way WoW file types work.

the only hard thing is bloodelf, felorc is impossible, or very very improboble. I can do it for u, but it would take a while, otherwise, heres what i would do. Use the Model editing for dummies guide to make some model edits. Get good at Creature, mount, and weapons, then ull get how to do characters. Belive me form first hand xperiance, Practice in model editing makes perfect in model editing, and it really doent take that long. Belive me if u understand how model editing works, like blps and m2's and such it will be a dang alot ez'r and creatures are the ez'st to start with.

That makes sense, guess I kinda wanted to jump the gun... Anyways I got two simpler problems that I need help with. When I open MPQs with MyWarcraftStudio they show up completely white without textures, yet in your guide for dummies they are skinned. Also, how do I view the MPQs in the BC patch.mpq without extracting all the files and recreating smaller MPQs?

Oh and if you want to do the race conversions that I stated in the meantime I would be very appreciative (though I will still try to teach myself). The whole idea I have is to have the "Horde" be the scorge/corrupted and the Alliance be... well... the Alliance.

Nightelves would be corrupted high elves, undead would be undead, and orcs would be orcs. When the expansion comes out, Bloodelves would be high elves who have just started to become corrupted.

As for the Alliance, it would be High Elves, Humans, and Dwarves (and Draeni after the expansion) fighting the corruption.

I would also change things like water to lava to add a sort of apocalyptic feel to the environments. (I also plan to change the Horde druid transformations to things like Dreadlords and Undead Mages and felbeasts).

That was my whole idea behind the changes I am making, so if ya think its worthwhile, I would be greatly appreciative if you helped me make some conversions =).

yea the white silloutes is weird, u just gotta live with it. Krazzee had a different version of WoW studio, but the white silloutes are just gotta live with it. I will start. Krazzee is going to do a full WoW remake and call it World of Warcraft: Azeorth invasion. But the thing is he is gunna do it like crazy, make new citys. New high lords, a bunch of amazing things. We have talked to Blizz and they said if we do do this they will make it a official DL avable at the website, and we would be respected for making it!!!!! the thing is tho he is only taking 2 people to help him, so this would be a very good thing to show him i bet if u showed him this and it was good that he would prolly let u help make Azeroth invasion
