PC vs Mac.... which is better? Neither, and no there is no linux in here.

PC(Windows OS): CUSTOMIZEABLE. Parts exchangeable.
PC (OSX): no wai right?!?! --^ for hardware... ZOMG little difference in the OS to the general user.

MAC(Windows): buying an expensive standardized computer with no room to customize or upgrade beyond buying new.again. Bootcamping to play/use a good bunch of things MAC can NOT.

MAC(OSX): Any idiot can use it, same for windows mind you.


GENERIC ARGUEMENTS.

_=PC is just as fast as a mac both can be tampered with to an amount and thereby be workhorses.

_=Mac is for artsy people, because the Industry uses them primarily. STANDARDIZED hardware with a reliably manufactured case and sealed casing usually = profit increase

_=PCs are used just as much in the Industry as Macs are. More so in house game companies due to the customize-ability to increase productivity on rendering and modelling that would be capped on a MAC with no said hardware upgrade-ability.

_=PC and Mac are used ALL OVER, not just one sector of companies. They are everywhere.
The main focus of PC's are and still are somewhat used ALOT in business due to how CHEAP you can get a computer EN MASSE for basic numbers work.

Neither are better, except in the most down right generic field....

"non tech savvy" people should not have a PC due to the customization it has for the end user. Macs are more simple in this area due to you got it... it is all standardized and easier to troubleshoot things. They know what ram is in there, unlike you the end user swapping out sticks and forgetting to stick it in all the way thus unable to boot.

"tech savvy" people can choose either. Durp.

"but macs don't get anywhere near as many virus' ", true why? because of the simple fact of the stereotype of artsy/creative development people use it... not usually "abundantly non savvy people" PC is out there and bigger due to early growth and capitalization by Gates.

ever consider there are possibly other software out there that can do the same job? There is. The problem is, it's like human behavior to think Macs are better because it's simpler "to get the hang of" akin to .... hybrid smugness vs generic cars. Everyone "has" to have a one up on others.

Most problems stem from the user, and thereby opinions are like *******s... everyone has them.

My friend gets like a virus every second day when I hardly get one spyware a year. I say Mac could be better for artists but as I never had one I can't be 100% sure.

Mac is definately not for gamers.

I'd say its more for buisness people, and artists. It's alot easier to use for buisness.

A PC however is meant for hosting servers, and gaming. At least this is my opinion

Stick to this. Also remember that Imac's are more expensive then Pc's overall, due to Apples ******ery of overpricing everything :'D,

I think the overpricing is similar to Harley Davidson, where they know they have a customer base and that customer expects to pay higher then other products similar in their field. When people say you are paying for the name its kinda true but i think that the general public thinks you are paying for what you get, and in reality you are not paying for anything extra special.

And as far as the PC vs MAC, IMHO its just personal preference.

Considering Mac is built on Unix...

I have a PC at home. I use CentOS for my server.

PC's are more economical when compared to Macs. It's up to the end user on his or her preference.

Each perform their job.

But the PEBKAC statement is true.
