Murlock pet scam

well a few days ago i was in IF with my rogue and i was looking for the trainer and i found this dwarf guy with a pet murlock i found out that u can get a pet murlock by typing in this code that u have to do so i think to myself hey i could get money by scaming ppl into thinking i have the code. well i advise that u send a letter with a randome number and letters on it to one of your charactres then make a copy of the letter on your alt and in the LFG channel just say u want to sell secret murlock code for around 30ish amount of gold. u should get some wispers just trade them the letter with the "code" in it and log out right after u trade then u should walk away with a fair amount of gold

hmmm dunno if this is banable i guess not when someone would report you for giving a fake cheat lol the person would prolly get in trouble for trying to cheat. Well if anyone has tested this and has not been ban this will be a wonderful scam. + rep

well u actualy "scam" the person by selling them a paper that does not contain what u said it does however as far as i know selling the murkey codes in anyway is ilegal so if he doesn't want to get banned 2 he better not report u

thats why if u have the money or information to a friend u dont like's account do it there send the profits over to ur main account

this is far from being a good scam cause any person that has been playing while will jump in and say u can only get the code form going to blizcon and it can only be used once per toon so ya this wont work some perosn will make sure it wont lmao

and blizzard looks at your mial transfers if they think u have scamed someone and sent gold to your alt or have been scaming threw the mail

so soon mail scams will not work or if u are going to scam do it once in a while not all the time and dont do it for long periods of time

There are 2 seperate scam policies in operation.

The european one is a lot less harsh on scammers than the .com one (for USA)

reading the USA one - i dont know how they can remotely police this in any fair manner. It basically says you can a a scammer if you lie to another player - all a bit silly in a game where we all pretend to be gnomes elves etc with magic powers.

The euro version only has a sting in its tasil with use of the word "systematic" - so scamming will not be punished unless it is seen to be "systematic" in which case it might be.

Why you havent hammred blizzard in the press over the USA scam policy i dont know - try get some publicity on the sissue - because as far as I am concverned - in game scams that use only the mechnaics of the game and peoples ingenuity are part of the complexity in mmog - and should be celebrated becasue they allow people to experioence such activity in a game - not in real life.

This is actually a pretty good idea, on my server there are a lot of newbs and the thought that this is a scam would just go way over there head, nice job.

Hey very nice idea I will try this and let you know how it goes in about a month but the letter will be entitled "Murlock pet code" and inside it it'll say "Hello you have been scammed but guess what, if you report this to a GM you will get a minium of three day suspension for attempting to cheat"
