Run wow smooth, lower the strain on the PC and other.

 Hi everyone i this topic i will try to give you some nice tips that some may know, but for the rest it will be like God sent.

    So lets begin:

First thing to know is how to say to your computer"hey i need more power running this ignore other @#$%@"

    You do this by:
Press CTR+ALT+DEL.This will bring task manager up now when you go to processes right click on something like WoW.exe ,then you set Priority to high,r realtime or something else

    NOTE:
If you have a duel core PC you can allso use Affinity witch will prevent the program to use like core 2 or some other core. This is not so important for WoW ,but nice to know.

    This part now is interesting:
Many people witch have laptops know the dreadfull overheating >.< when your laptops run on 60fps on ultra and slowly die to 4fps after 30min. This is a way to avoid overaheating and still play on Ultra.

    Way to do it:

    In wow type:
/console maxfps 22 (or what ever fps you want) This will make the laptop/pc not go above 22 fps witch wont strain laptop=no heat.
Now if you sometime need to minimize wow and use some other high strain program type:
/console maxfpsbk 5 (this will make run at 5 fps when on Background )

Don't forget to set wow setting to,most of the PC are killed by Shadows just lower them down

Also please stop downloading pr00n,and shut down skype(real powerhogger)

Well this is for now i may update it more when i remember more stuff.

Run wow smooth, lower the strain on the PC and other.

No i never mentioned that you don't or do need to give credits. I don't know all the rules myself but i only mentioned that you could copy paste a guide from an other website. Don't try dissing me or whatever acting like the 'smart' guy.

Btw, what the guy above me said. Forgot about limitations. Thanks again for this guide!

You can also try GameBooster. Simple google search will get you results. I believe it was made by IObit Information Technologies. What it does, especially for WinVista, is disables some background processes that Windows uses, to free up resources and improve any online game performance. It also comes with a GameDefrag, which will defrag gamefiles for smoother operation.

Fix those spelling mistakes. To change maxfps back, do /console maxfps 0.

Skype doesn't really hog that much memory.

    Let do a quick test:
103 Processes, 30% CPU Usage, 54% Physical Memory Usage.

Running WoW, Google Chrome, Steam, Skype, Fraps, MrFishIt, uTorrent, Note Pad (And some back ground such as MSE, Logitech G15 LCD, Razer)

    Closing skype gives me:
102 Processes. 28% cpu usage, 54% phs memory.

Congrats, you stoped 2% CPU usage. But look, your web browser hogs TONS of memory. Lets close the additional tabs you don't need.
Now, I have 48% phys memory usage. 25% on average CPU usage.

Skype isn't the real problem. Opening 10 tabs on Chrome/Firefox is. So skype is only 17K Memory usage.

    And,
    Also please stop downloading pr00n
Downloading Porn doesn't do anything either. Its the same as downloading music, games, or anything. It just hogs your bandwidth which, doesn't affect how smoothly you run wow, so to say. It just "Lags" you.

All laptops overheat eventually if you are playing a game. Get a cooling pad. Thats all. Why would you want to lower FPS.

Nice try contributing, but you need to do some research too. Sorry if I was being a dick, but I know my stuff too.

I was joking about p00rn bit,and as i running 3 wow's and 3 bots at the same time that 2% could mean a good boting session and a fail one.

/console maxfpsbk 5 might work well but playing at 22 fps, would that not be very choppy?

Yeah i think fps runs choppy to 30 fps. When it goes higher it goes more smooth.

    I would recommend /console maxfps 35.
