Looking for a VPS Server

Hey Guys.

I am currently hosting my wow server on local host, i have setted everything up and i am now ready to go public but not hosting on my PC/Connection.

Anyone know any good cheap VPS Servers? Which can run a wow server nearly 24/7 or atleast 24/7. Also it must have remote desktop access.

Please post your ideas, if you find me a good one, ill let you help me out with the server and be an admin.

Do you think a VPS Server of:

1024 MB RAM
20 GB Diskspace
300 GB Bandwidth


Will be ok for a wow server? Please comment, and if so how many players you think itll hold

If you have a lot of users, 1024MB of ram is NOT much at all. That's only one gig. I have 8 gig in my laptop.

What do i need the high ram for? to keep up the server?

I was hoping maybe 60-100 people connecting i will add a 100player cap, Think this will be ok?

A VPS won't handle a wow server so your better off with your own dedicated server.

A VPS will run a WoW server just fine. Not with tons of players obviously but back when I administered a server the owner was using VPSLand on a VPS with 4 gigs of RAM (they don't seem to offer those anymore). We got up to 60 players just fine, and at about 70-80 players it would start lagging. Of course for the price he was paying ($75 I believe) he could've just gone with a dedi for a little more and it may have performed better.

Dedicated servers are a complete waste of money for smaller/newer WoW servers. Once you start getting average player counts in the 40s-50s I would start investigating a dedi but beyond that, if you're short on cash a VPS will work fine.

For what it's worth, VPSLand was pretty good for us, but that was almost a year ago.
