What should my reaction be to a letter like this...

"I want 5000g in the mail ASAP or your name will remain on the list of over a dozen other botters like yourself on my ticket to be reported.

This will be the one and only time I blackmail this particular character. I would advise ignoring your pride and act immediately before my ticket goes through.

Please send the gold from this character so I know who to remove from my list.

PS: If you do not send the gold and somehow do not get banned I will report you repeatedly without warning until you do. If you are not banned then I guess I will have to find you in whatever zone you are in to make sure that you have stopped botting all together."

... Something like that, what do I do?

Ignore it, you could report him for harassment. I would just lay off the bot for a bit or get a name change if you're really concerned.

Ah didn't know that, I suppose he could get confused though if he has a list of botters. Although he could just go down the list and see which ones aren't the same.

Lolol, which bot do you use? Follow both suggestions above, quit botting (atleast for a while) and report him. If you get him banned for 3 days he can't report you for 3 days, lolol.

It can, just say the guy is trying to blackmail you for reasons that aren't true, just stop botting for about a week and see what happens.

The guy that sent me the letter is in sholazar basin A LOT over the past few months... he is there almost every time I check.

If this guy is smart he has me added to friends with a note next to my name incase I do name change. And will hunt me down in whatever zone I am in to check up on me.

Never pay up, just change paths. Don't use the default shola one. Go to ice crown or storm peaks. It will be a lot harder to find you. If he doesn't have any proof nothing can happen to you.

Who cares? I'm sure lots of people do that. I've been reported many times before and never banned. Just say no, and quit botting for a little bit. Just hand do some quests or something to make it look human like. Never pay up to the blackmailers. He'll still report you anyways.

Meh, if he's going to blackmail you he doesn't have a word. He's in it for the money. If you're that deeply concerned just server transfer. No way for him to follow you then.
