[Tip] Have No Server Restart After You Add Items

Ok this is my first post in this section. Please tell me if I break any rules.

    HOW TO:

    1. Add the item to your database

    2. Open up WoW if you have not already

    3. On a GM account, type ".server reload items"

You can do this with any database although, I have had some trouble with the npc databases. If anyone can get the npcs working and you can spawn it without a restart, please post a reply to this post telling me how to

    thanks!

Eh, well I don't think you broke any rules, but this guide is kinda short don't you think?
Also I don't think it's possible with NPCs. Generally when you reload them your server will crash anyways on the first time you try to talk to them if they are vendors/gossip. Otherwise there is a command for reloading the NPC database, but I haven't used Arc Emu in forever, which is what I'm assuming you're using.

    Lol heres the long version:

Ok first you will need a private server, works with patch 3.3.2a and all other patches that I know of. Second you will need to create an item by connecting your your database. Third start up world of warcraft which was made in 2004 by blizzard. And if you have a GM account that has the commands, type .server reload items This will run a update on your database, resulting in your new item ingame without restarting

    BOOOM

Yes but... sooo many guides on how to add items always say "ok to finish up, restart your server for the changes to take effect!"

it actually depends on what item you added, if the item has On USE. effect. it will crash your server instantly. you need to reboot for USE effect to register.

you can do reload command if its a simple item.
