What emulator do the Top 50 Servers use?

I am asking this so I can decide on what emulator to use. I know a lot of them use custom cores, but all of their cores are probably based on something and not built from scratch. If you know please tell me, and give me an explanation on how you know what emulator they use. Thanks again.

Edit: I would specifically like to know what epicwow uses.

Any emulator based on Ascent, including ArcEmu, Aspire and whatever else there is. Some are probably using MaNGOS based as well

There is a varying use of the Emulators used, some will use MaNGOS, others ArcEmu, probably customed patched for stability too.

I would personally tell you to go with ArcEmu but they both have up and downsides.

Most of them use private cores, and most of those are based off of Ascent-derivatives such as ArcEmu. There are a speckling of TrinityCore / Mangos based servers as well.
If you're new to emu, I suggest trying ArcEmu out, otherwise, head with TrinityCore.

I suggest shyemu, most like 50% of top 50 servesr including top 10 use shy emu..others use some arcemu and mangos...

Azo is right, you should use ShyEmu. It's like ArcEmu, only with much more experienced dev's, capable of writing over 20 lines of bugfixes

Joking. I know Naxp uses Trinity Core and lot's use ArcEmu/Ascent/Aspire.

no one really sticks to one, there are a lot of good ones out there, my personal fave is Mangos
