Runecloth Scamm!

First off, everyone knows that Runecloth is the MOST sold item in WoW ever. It always has acutions on AH and everyone farms this. Easy to farm, even easier to sell.

So i tought of a way.. one day i was sending c.o.d stuff and i missed out some sending the item and gold instead. Only noticed 3 days later.... why not take this as an advantaged?

I made a lvl 1 called Runybank, and spammed trade channel for 3 days with this message "WTB all stacks of [Runecloth] 2.2g EACH!!"

Now when i came to the mailbox i had, around, 1450 stacks in there, most of them were c.o.d ofc , but some were runes + money sent by players. Total winnings were 330g +- and 150+- Runecloth stacks. Free runes, free money.

Considering you say you buy runecloth make players C.O.D and after you collect the winnings you delete char, i think we can call it scam. Not the greatest scams tough.

Ive thought of the idea before...time to put it into action!
Make sure to Spam that your buying for a price higher than most, ex it usually goes for 1g 40s, say your buying for 2g or something.

I'm not sure you could call this a scam, so I'm probably going to try it. If they ask me why i didnt take the runecloths, ill just say i didnt mean to buy that many and just thought people were sending me money for free. :P

what'd you say to all the pms saying "its cheaper in ah" and "come to bank to trade" etc. Also, what about "i sent cod, when are you going to pick it up?"

I dont have the "its cheaper then AH" problem here, since Runys go 3g BO on ah here. And you dont have to aswer people, use a lvl 1 char to do this, dont aswer any whispers and after you collected the winnings, just send to your main and delete the char.

I mean when people whisper me asking when I'm going to pick up the items, what do i say? They know im in the city and couldnt be far away from the mailbox...

Then do what i did, do an Elf char, no one goes to darnassus. And if you knew, C.O.D takes 1 hour to arrive so , you can just be 20 minutes spamming trade channel, logout and go do something else, whenever you can you can go check mailbox, then if needed spamm trade chat again, and log out. People rarerly whisper you unless its something like "how many stacks your buying. In that case just say "Around 700, need Reputation with Ironforge with my main."

when people ask you to come trade or get from AH say that your logging right now and log immediately. come back in 2-3 hours

18 STACKS!!! he said he did and i said i will pay him 50g.. guess what i wont do and what i will do xD

Definitely not worth the time if you're a 60. Much better off farming Tyr's Hand or Azshara, because I spent around 30 minutes doing it and got only one stack. It all boils down to luck, and I gurantee that you'll only get lucky 1 out of 10 times.

the good thing about it is that any lvl can do this scamm, assuring some nifty gold for low lvls. I got lucky as a 60 tough.

I really like this scam, as I always feel bad taking gold from people, I did letter scams etc, but I gave all the gold back, this, I'll keep it. ^.^
