Tekken 6

Who will try and save the world? Who'll become the king of the Iron Fist tournament?
Keep reading to find out more!

Game: Tekken 6.
Genre: Fighting.
Developer: Namco

Arcades, PS3, PSP, Xbox360.

Since the victory in the latest tournament, Jin Kazama is now in command over the Mishima Zaibatsu and he doesn't have any heavenly ambitions...
He declares war against all the other nations in the world and fights them by using the full strength of the Mishima Zaibatsu force and it's network.
But in the meantime, Jin's father, Kazuya Kazama, is in charge over the G-Corporation, probably the only force able to fight against the Mishima Zaibatsu and they place a quite large bounty on Jin's head.

While this is ongoing, a young soldier in the Tekken Force, Lars Alexandersson, is starting an operation to unarm both the Mishima Zaibatsu and the G-Corporation to stop this war from growing.
While attempting to destroy a Mishima Zaibatsu facility, Lars stumbles across a female by the name of Alisa. Alisa is an android, created by the Mishima Zaibatsu to spread chaos and destruction.
While the battle is going on inside the facility, the G-Corporation joins the party and during a large explosion, Lars and Alisa flees the facility and Lars suffer from amnesia.

Other characters that makes an apperance:
Heihachi Kazama.
Nina.
Ganruy.
Paul.
And many, many more.

So, what happens next in the story?
Play the game
The graphics of this game is determined on your TV really. It supports the old faithful scart and the higher quality mode of HDMI.
It supports resolutions up to 720 dpi.

But all in all, it's the ordinary Tekken graphics in HD quality and with a good enough TV, the game will look really realistic from time to time during swings, kicks and throws.

I really don't know what to say, it's the old fashioned Tekken style sound effects with higher quality and the music in the game is really enjoyable during the fights. Effects like when you hit someone is just stunning when you're using a 5.1 system.

In Tekken 6, you got alot of options on how you want to play.
You got the story mode (Scenario Campaign) in which you follow the story described above.
You also have th ecohice to play as another character instead of Lars or take the role as Alisa.
During the stages, you acquire items which will upgrade your character when equipped. For example a hat that increases the chance for items to drop by x%.
The gear is earned on the character that it's designed for. Aka, if you play through the whole campaign as Lars, you cannot use the gear on for example Yoshimitsu.
The campaing can be a real pain in the arse and one stage that's called Nightmare Train, really is a nightmare. You need two really well equipped characters to complete it (Both you and Alisa need good items)

We also got the old Arcade style in which you fight 10 battles vs the CPU to become the king of the Iron Fist tournament.
Nothing to say about it other than you WILL have problems with the last stage.
He's about 6 times the average size.
We also got the practise mode, time attack, vs mode, team battle and ghost battle. Don't really need to go indepth on these modes as they're pretty self explanationary, all except the ghost battle.
In the ghost battle mode, you face people you've downloaded from the online mode, aka, their character.

Online modes.
This is where I personally shine.
You can play ranked games and nonranked games with up to 4 people competing in a king of the hill mode.
The online ranks are as following: (Starting with the lowest)
Beginner.
9th-1st Kuy
1st-4th Dan
Mentor
Master
Brawler
Marauder
Berserker
Warrior
Avenger
Vindicator
Vanquisher
Destroyer
And more might show up when more and more people gain the highest rank.

At the moment, online modes can be laggy if you face an opponent with a bad connection (Most wifi users, no idea why) and it can really affect the outcome of the fight and you often get disconnected.
And while playing ranked games, if you disconnect from the opponent, you may recieve a loss as a penalty.

If you're a fan of fighting games and got a PS3 or a 360, you should rent this or borrow it from a mate, play it alittle and then decide if you want it or not.
The game is truely a masterpiece in my opinion and you must play it to understand what I'm talking about and I can almost assure you, it'll get into your mind aswell!
