finalizing my VB programs

So I just started VB programs yesterday, and am wondering how do I turn my project into something anybody can use/see...in other words.. I sent it to my friend as a test and he said it was in a completely wrong format and he couldnt see, how can one fix this?

PS its format is "application manifest" how can I change this<---tldr

select "release" and compile (f5)


then search for the "ProjectNameHere.exe" file in...
D:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\My Documents\Visual Studio 2008\Projects\ProjectNameHere\ProjectNameHere\bin\Release

wich means.. my documents folder then your visual studio folder then projects folder then Projectname folder Projectname folder then bin folder finally release folder, there you will find a .exe file.
