Model Edits Don't Work?

Hello, I just recently got into model editing after realizing how cool of an idea it was, however I've already encountered a problem. I hope that using model edits experienced users make is easier than making a private server,

Now then, I recently installed The Path to GM Island and put it into my WoW data folder. I ran WoWME which was in my WoW folder, got to the logon screen, before typing anything, I hit F8, and then I logged in. I proceeded to the back of Teldrassil to find... Nothing.. I tried a few other model edits, none of which seemed to work! Please help..

Info:
- I am doing this on a private server, WoW Legacy to be precise.
- I did capitalize .MPQ.. The exact filename is 'Patch-6.MPQ'
- I am loading WoW with WoWME.
- Due to Vista being as awkward as it is, WoW is not saved to its usual place in program files, but rather in Public\Games\World of Warcraft.. This may make a difference, I don't know, :P

Are you putting the .MPQ files in the right folder?

WoW > Data > patch-X.MPQ

Also try pressing F8 at the character selection screen.

if that doesn't work try re-downloading WoWME, maybe you have an older version (I don't think you have to push F8 anymore)

Youve spell'd patch with big P? it have to have this exat name: patch-X(or any other lett'er/number).MPQ so ect: patch-6.MPQ not Patch-6.mpq
